Central SOHO, a building in the midst of the Singapore River: its promenade faces the vibrant and lively Clarke Quay which bursts with life at night with many pubs and jazz bars dotting its pier. Central SOHO is a multi-usage building which caters to residential, commercial and retail activities.
It is a remarkable architecture that expresses the lives of the new generation. The lighting adopted for the architecture needed to be sensisitive to the extensive and highly diverse applications compounded within this structure.
Located near the river, the lighting is mainly kept at blue tones to highlight the main architectural elements, and whites for the dwelling spaces. Blue also defines the location as the building sits along the water banks, and is significantly different from the varied and busy lighting from the neighboring outlets.
Lighting for Central SOHO allows it to integrate and interplay into this urban context, defining its architecture on the river banks
