Lightbox was commissioned by the developer of the G-Land Tower project to experiment with creating three-dimensional effects on two-dimensional surfaces. The idea we hit upon was to program a complex configuration of light effects upon the facade in order to instigate an effect similar to that accomplished by a hologram. We specifically worked on protruding an illusory ball of light from the building facade and replicating the pattern of the Northern Lights. This project was initiated before capable technologies were available and it has remained in theoretical incubation- until it can be revised by another patron.
We experiment light with glass. The eventual outcome was surprisingly a simplified 3D effect through the use of resonance of lights played in rhythm and light expressed symbolism of city movement.
